Session Description
In this session, attendees will be challenged to consider their current wellness program and how they may be able to transform their initiatives to support overall employee well-being. Attendees will learn how to identify relevant program goals for their workforce and produce meaningful outcomes for their organization. Transformational opportunities will be discovered within the types of programs offered, employee communication tactics, program delivery models, incentive structures, program evaluation methods and more. Presenter will share case studies and lessons learned from multiple organizations that have transformed their wellness programs including, but not limited to:
• A hospital system with 12,000 employees in year 11 of their wellness program that moved from a strictly outcomes-based program to a more holistic, participatory/ outcomes mixed incentive structure
• A call center with 650 employees that dedicates funds to the program most meaningful to their employees and impactful to the organization (health coaching)
• A plumbing company with 250 employees that meets employees where they are with their wellness goals by providing healthy brown bag lunches and coaching opportunities at job-sites
• A health information technology company with 75 employees that takes a non-traditional approach to wellness by focusing on employee development and personal growth
Attendees will answer survey questions utilizing voting software and will pair together to discuss possible methods for implementing concepts learned at their organizations. Attendees will leave feeling inspired to transform the way their wellness program is designed, implemented and measured.
Learning Objectives
• Identify meaningful metrics for their wellness program that reflect the overall objectives of their organization
• Develop incentives and policies to support sustainable behavior change
• Implement new, innovative initiatives that may not be considered as part of a traditional wellness program
