Session Description
Stress isn’t always bad. A little bit of stress can help you stay focused, energetic, and able to meet new challenges in the workplace. However, when workplace demand exceeds your ability to cope, it stops being helpful and may lead to fatigue, depression, decrease in job satisfaction, absenteeism, reduced productivity and low moral. As such stress and its minions are costing US companies annually $300 billion dollars. This session will examine stress in the workplace and ways to reduce it.

• Define stress within the workplace
• Evaluate specific work-stress related problems
• Analyze the role of work conditions, economic factors, and social dynamics in the experience of stress in the workplace
• Recognize the potentially severe consequences of work-related stress on an individual and their organization.
• Examine the ways in which job stress can be prevented or reduced in an organization
• Analyze resilience as a coping mechanism for stress in the workplace
About the Speaker
Dr. Christina Williamson is the founder of The iWANNA Project, a Consulting Firm. Designed to help small businesses and entrepreneurs alike translate good ideas into practical next steps! Dr. Williamson has an undergraduate degree in business finance, from North Carolina Central University, an MBA in organizational leadership, from Jacksonville university and a PhD in leadership studies and Community engagement, from North Carolina A&T State University.
For nearly 15 years Christina has partnered with organizations like Merrill Lynch, Head start of Duval County, World Changers Church (Atlanta, GA) and the Schultz Center. She also helped
organizations, entrepreneurs, Youtubers, and small business owners alike, get organized, streamline their process and become resilient in everyday life.
Her mission is to help people maximize their human potential. Christina is a college professor in the department of business and a certified wellness coach.
