Session Description

Leadership is changing rapidly and radically. To lead innovative teams, leaders must connect and collaborate with compassion. However, most leaders and HR Professionals are not aware of what is needed to equip, engage, or empower innovative teams. In this presentation, participants will learn how to go beyond engagement and expand their Emotional Intelligence to engage employees in a cutting-edge culture. While change often comes from the top, participants will learn how to leverage their power from the middle to make critical and radical changes. 

World We Shape: Human Resources professionals have far more power to shape their world from their position in the middle than they fully understand. This presentation will help them leverage that power to shape a world with engaged employees.

Lisa Murfield

Lisa Murfield is on a mission to help leaders leverage the ROI of compassion. As the Human Resources Manager for Hill Ward Henderson law firm and Vice President of Murfield Coaching, Inc., she speaks, coaches and trains using cutting-edge ideas merged with proven best business practices. Lisa co-authored The ROI of Compassion and Leading with the Power of Compassion. She holds her MBA and is certified SHRM-SCP, SPHR, GPHR and served as the 2010 President of HRTampa. Lisa has spoken at various local and state conferences and most recently at the 2019 SHRM National Conference in Las Vegas.

Dr Loren Murfield, Ph.D.

Dr. Loren Murfield is an innovative thinker who serves as an Executive Coach, Author, Podcast Host, Speaker. Working with entrepreneurs and organizational leaders, he stretches their thinking to see cutting-edge opportunities. Dr. Murfield has authored 21 books, written and acted in a movie short, wrote, as well as staged and acted in three plays. He co-hosts two podcasts, "Holy Crap, How'd They Do That?" and "Trends, Bends & Opportunities."  He spoke at SHRM Jacksonville in 2016.
